HIKING

Here’s an experience not to be missed, hiking through the awesome Honduran jungle
and setting-up camp and campfires in the rainforest.

Whether it be the overnight hike
to the summit of the 80-meter waterfall, El Bejuco, or hikes through other sections of
the breathtaking and unique National Parks, these trips are sure to be unforgettable
journeys into the heart of the awe-inspiring Honduran landscape.

JUNGLE HIKING -EL BEJUCO WATERFALL- 2 OR 3 DAYS

Excellent hiking steep up. El Bejuco Waterfall always on the side. Primary rainforest,
outstanding nature, creeks waterfalls and cristalclear swimming pools -join us in nature!

Day 1: This great trip starts from the OMEGA JUNGLE LODGE: We hike down to the
river, where you decide if you want to swim or dive off a good 20 ft. cliff into a
deep river pool. We provide bags to keep our equipment dry.

After a 20 min. walk in the giant riverbed of the Cangrejal River we enter again into the
jungle. The rainforest is beautiful. Mid day we leave the path behind and hike steep up,
El Bejuco Waterfall (250 ft.) always on the side. Our campspot is right by the drop,
overlooking the whole Cangrejal valley and the caribbean coast.

There is a 25 ft waterfall just 100 m in the back -enjoy your shower under the jungle waterfall. Your guide cooks on campfire, 6 p.m. it dawns. The night active animals start. ( Day 2 ):
Jungle campfire breakfast, there we go: with just a daypack it is much easier to hike.
We hike the whole mountain up, come back another way. There are different vegetation
areas, nature around is overwhelming. Waterfall shower, campfire dinner, campnight.

Day 2 (or Day 3): Jungle campfire breakfast and down to the foot of the waterfall.
On our way back we follow the Bejuco Creek: jump into a crystal clear pool and take
a shower -and massage under the 30 ft. waterfall. Coming all the way down to the
Cangrejal River we have to cross it again, this time in a shallower part. We take
our shoes off, hold hands to walk through the knee deep river. 20 min. later we are
back at the OMEGA JUNGLE LODGE. Refresh in our pool, relax in a hammock -and
enjoy your free! night at our relaxing JUNGLE LODGE

Please bring: boots, long pants, shorts or bathing suite, fleece or sweater for the night,
rainjacket, torch, insect repellent. Got a drybag, matrass or light sleeping bag?: bring it!
Try not to bring too much!!!
